Dogs seized in dog-breeding raid

Eleven dogs have been seized after police raided a suspected illegal dog-breeding operation in Hampshire.

Four adult dogs and seven puppies, all believed to be "pitbull-type" breeds, were seized during the operation in Bach Close, Basingstoke, on Friday.

The raid is part of an ongoing investigation by Hampshire Police.

Further investigations were being carried out and the dogs' owners will be interviewed by detectives, a police spokesman said.
