Plans have been unveiled for a new £20m cancer clinic in Hampshire.
The clinic at Southampton Science Park in Chilworth aims to allow non-invasive, early diagnosis of cancer cells and tumours.
Private medical company Euromedic UK has submitted a planning application for the centre, which aims to treat 46,000 NHS and private patients a year.
The centre will include a PET-CT scanner, which allows doctors to see inside the human body.
Southampton cancer specialist Dr Charles Hamilton, said: "This clinic can only enhance Southampton's growing reputation as a major force in oncology."
Mark Smith, managing director of Euromedic UK, said the company planned to expand the centres around the UK.
