Husband in court over wife death

The husband of a businesswoman found stabbed to death at their family home has been remanded in custody charged with her murder.

Alisdair Sinclair, 47, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Wednesday accused of stabbing his wife Sally to death.

The body of the 40-year-old was found at their home in Amport, Hampshire, on Saturday, 16 August.

Mr Sinclair did not enter a plea and no application for bail was made.

Mrs Sinclair was head of business analysis at mobile phone giant Vodafone.

Magistrates remanded Mr Sinclair in custody until 28 November to appear at Winchester Crown Court.
