Lifeless cat revived after blaze

The cat being given oxygen therapy (from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service) A lifeless cat was rescued from a burning house and revived by firefighters on New Year's Eve.

Crews called to Coxford Road, Aldermoor in Southampton, arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the ground floor and first floor of the home.

There were fears people were trapped inside but firefighters who entered the semi-detached home found only an unconscious ginger cat.

They revived the animal using oxygen therapy and left it with neighbours.
