Man named after fatal bike crash

A motorcyclist who died when his bike crashed with a car has been named as 33-year-old David Mark Lee.

Mr Lee, of Sherfield-on-Loddon, Hants, died near his home village after his Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a Ford Focus on the A33 on Monday.

He was riding northbound, filtering through rush-hour traffic, when he lost control of his bike.

Police said he fell and was thrown into the oncoming carriageway, where he was struck by the southbound car.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash, which happened just before 0730 BST.
