The partner of a motorcyclist who died in a collision with a car on the Isle of Wight has appealed to road users to "look out for bikers".
Edward Mawdsley, 38, from Yarborough Close, Godshill, suffered fatal injuries in the crash on the A3056, near Newchurch on Thursday afternoon.
The car driver was unhurt. Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash.
Mr Mawdsley's partner, Tori Blain, described him as "much loved and admired for his passion".
In a statement, Ms Blain said: "Ed came to the Island in May 2005 to work as a pastry chef but went on to work at the Isle of Wight College as a learning support assistant.
"He was much loved and admired for his passion and dedication in supporting his students.
"Please look out for us bikers"
"All who met him were touched by him in many positive ways and his wish would be for all to continue to build on the foundations he has left behind.
"His family and friends here feel the loss deeply and all feel privileged and honoured that not only did he make his home here but gave them all so much and they have many things to thank him for and to be celebrated.
"He loved his bikes and lived to ride. He loved life and cared deeply for others.
"He gave so much and always had more to give yet never expected to receive."
She added: "Please look out for us bikers and remember that we are all someone's father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, lover or friend."
