One killed and one hurt in crash

One man has died and another was seriously injured in a single car crash in Hampshire.

The accident happened on the B3078 at Godshill near Fordingbridge just before midnight on Friday night.

A police spokesman said the Volkswagen Golf struck trees on the side of the road and rebounded back onto the carriageway, ending up on its roof.

The two men were thrown from the car. One died at the scene but the other is being treated for serious injuries.
