Woman 'critical' after car crash

A woman has been left with life threatening injuries after a car crash on the Dorset/Hampshire border.

The 45-year-old woman was driving from Alderholt towards Ringwood when her BMW Z3 car was in collision with a Jeep Cherokee on Wednesday lunchtime.

The woman, from St Leonards, was taken to Poole hospital, where police said she remained in a critical condition.

The driver of the Jeep, a 59-year-old, was not thought to have been injured in the crash.

Hampshire police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the road policing unit.
