Resurfacing work prompts warning

Householders in Gloucester are being warned to be on their guard against bogus builders ahead of more resurfacing work in the city centre.

Nick Peters from Gloucestershire Highways said previously residents had been approached by bogus builders claiming to work for the council.

He said: "They've offered to resurface their drives on a private contract basis."

The work is due to begin on Parliament Street on Monday and finish on 31 July.
