Driver critical after M5 crash

A man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after an accident on the M5 in Gloucestershire.

It is believed his car was in collision with a lorry southbound between junctions J12, Quedgeley and J13, Stroud.

At 2100 GMT only one lane was open southbound and delays of 30 minutes were experienced.

Police say it will take "some time" to remove the wreckage and are advising drivers to avoid the area.
