Court remands murder trial pair

Kim Hibberd

Two people have appeared in court charged with the murder of an amateur photographer from Gloucester.

Robyn Jewitt, 18, and Stuart Ballingall, 32, are both accused of killing Kim Hibberd, 57, who died after an attack on New Year's Day.

Mr Hibberd was found in a pool of blood in his Parliament Street flat. He was taken to hospital but died later.

Mr Ballingall, of Beacon Road, Matson, Gloucester and Ms Jewitt, of Parliament Street, were both remanded in custody.

Neither entered pleas when they appeared before Stroud Magistrates' Court on Wednesday and spoke only to confirm their names and addresses.

Both are due to appear before Bristol Crown Court on 23 January for a preliminary hearing

Ms Jewitt is also accused of perverting the course of justice in relation to the case.
