Charity boosts air ambulance fund

Residents of a Gloucestershire town have raised more than £2,700 for the county's air ambulance service.

The helicopter is based in Strensham, and Tewkesbury's Round Table chose it as the worthiest cause for its 2008 fundraising effort.

Dave Otter, the Round Table's secretary, told BBC News the town had raised more money than previous years.

Mr Otter walked the streets of Tewkesbury with a sleigh over Christmas to help boost the fundraising effort.
