Families back home after gas leak

More than 30 families in Cheltenham who were forced to leave their homes due to a gas leak have been allowed to return.

An underground gas pipe was broken during roadworks on the A40 London Road near Charlton Kings on Monday.

A nearby church hall offered shelter for those unable to return to their homes.

The A40 between Cirecester Road and Bath Road is expected to be closed in both directions for two days while full repairs to the pipe are carried out.
