War medals stolen during burglary

Medals from the Boer War and World War I have been stolen during a burglary at a house in Gloucestershire.

Thieves broke into the property in Rance Pitch, Upton St Leonards, overnight on Sunday.

One of the medals which was taken was a Queen's South African Victoria medal which is silver with an orange and gold ribbon with blue stripes between them.

And a King's South African medal, which is silver with a green, white and orange ribbon, was also stolen.

A collection of six miniature medals in a glass case were also stolen.
