Film evidence condemns drugs man

Frank Nisbet

A drug dealer who sold heroin on his doorstep has been jailed after being secretly filmed by his landlord.

People queued up to buy heroin from Frank Nisbet in Cheltenham, Gloucester Crown Court heard on Wednesday.

The Knightstone Housing Association's footage was shown in court and Nisbet admitted the offences.

Jailing him for three years and seven months, the judge said he was arrogant to imagine he could get away with selling drugs on this scale.

Nisbet was filmed by private investigators on behalf of the housing association.

One of the investigators involved told BBC News the firm's footage was then passed on to Gloucestershire Police.

He said: "It was just a case of acquiring sufficient evidence to hand over so police could justify the allocation of resources and they were only too keen to take it on once they realised just how serious the problem was."

A spokeswoman for the Knightstone Housing Association said: "The residents were relieved that we were able to do something to solve the problem.

"They'd been putting up with it for quite a while."
