One killed in motorway accident

One person has died and two people - including a child - were injured in an accident on the M5 in Gloucestershire.

The child has been taken to Frenchay Hospital with serious injuries and the adult is being treated at Gloucester Royal Hospital.

The crash near Michaelwood services involved a Peugeot 205 and a Citroen Xsara.

The M5 northbound re-opened at 2130 BST. Witnesses to the accident are asked to contact police.
