One dead and one hurt in accident

A teenager died and a man was seriously injured when the car they were travelling in overturned on a road in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire.

Both were travelling in a blue VW Golf on the A48, in the early hours of Saturday, when the accident happened.

The passenger, an 18-year-man from Aylburton, was pronounced dead at the scene. The car driver, 23, and from Blakeney, was taken to hospital.

No other vehicle was involved in the incident, police said.

Witnesses to the accident which happened at 0410 BST, near Blakeney, are asked to contact police.
