A former Royal Marine from Gloucester has been sent to prison for three years after being caught with £100,000 worth of cocaine.
Vincent Maguire, 32, served with the Marines for 12 years.
Police raided his home in Midsummer Walk on 28 February and found two kilograms of cocaine.
At Gloucester Crown Court, Judge Jamie Tabor said he had taken his service to his country into account when determining the sentence.
Maguire, who had fought in the early stages of the Afghanistan invasion, was charged with possession of a Class A substance with intent to supply.
The find was the largest cocaine seizure in Gloucestershire at the time of the raid.
Speaking after Maguire's arrest in February, Superintendent Geoff Brookes, of Gloucester Police, said: "We can safely assume these drugs were not just destined for the streets of Gloucester but further afield."
