Mother and two children killed

Scene of the B4066 crash

A 26-year-old woman and two of her children, an eight month old baby boy and a girl, aged two, have died in a road collision in Gloucestershire.

The woman's Land Rover Freelander collided with a lorry on the B4066 at Sharpness at 1225 BST.

The lorry driver has been airlifted to hospital but is not seriously injured.

Police have closed the B4066 at the Station Road and Old Minster Road and the road will remain closed until at least 2200 BST.

The family of the woman, who came from the Berkeley area in Gloucestershire, have been informed.

The lorry is registered to a company in Renfrewshire.
