Missing man's car found by river

Police searching for a missing 93-year-old man have discovered his car parked by a river in Gloucestershire.

Cyril Holt disappeared from his home in Hasfield on Thursday and his family said he suffers from health problems which need medical attention.

A police spokesman said Mr Holt's car was found unattended at Haw Bridge by the River Severn on Thursday evening.

"A search resumed on Saturday using officers and the force helicopter and Severn Rescue," the spokesman added.

Mr Holt is described as white, 5ft 11ins tall, with a slim build.

He is thought to be wearing a blue checked shirt, green trousers, black shoes and a beige, three-quarter length coat. He normally has a hearing aid in his right ear.
