The parents of an 11-year-old boy who died in a car crash have paid tribute to their son, saying he was a "bright ray of sunshine and always happy".
Elliot Cox died when he was struck by a Ford Fiesta car driven by a 21-year-old woman on the old A48 High Street, Lydney, on Wednesday afternoon.
He was taken to Frenchay Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
His parents Juliet, 35, and Ian, 38, said he was a "very bright, kind, loving and talented young person".
"He enjoyed reading and was a talented artist and was recently awarded the Achievement Award for art from Aylburton School," they said.
"Although we will never see his beautiful face again with his big blue eyes and blond hair, he will remain in our hearts and minds forever."
The funeral is due to take place next Thursday in Aylburton.
