Dogs rescued from fire at house

Four dogs were rescued by firefighters called to a house fire in Gloucester on Sunday morning.

Parts of the single-storey building in Shakespeare Avenue, Podsmead, were severely damaged.

Fire crews used breathing apparatus while tackling the incident.

A spokesman for Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said that the dogs were unharmed
