Princess attends spire ceremony

The Princess Royal has attended a service of re-dedication for the spire of a Gloucestershire church.

Princess Anne is patron of the Holy Trinity Church Appeal in Minchinhampton near Stroud. Hundreds of local families donated money to the £100,000 appeal.

The Bishop of Gloucester was also at Sunday's service to celebrate the restoration of the spire.

Sixteen tonnes of stone has been used to rebuild the spire. The cockerel and clocks have also had a facelift.
