Man is freed from overturned car

A man has been receiving hospital treatment in Cheltenham after an accident on the B4077 near Alderton.

It happened at about 0500 GMT on Sunday when the car flipped over on to its roof, a spokeswoman for Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said.

The injured man was trapped in the vehicle and had to be released by the fire and rescue service.

He was taken by ambulance to Cheltenham General Hospital. The extent of his injuries is not known.
