Knife threat to bookmakers staff

An armed robber fled with cash from the till after threatening staff at a bookmakers' shop in Essex.

The man went into the shop in Church Hill, Loughton, on Wednesday evening and brandished a knife before demanding the cash.

He is described as white, 5ft 11in (1.79m), stocky with auburn curly hair and facial stubble.

He wore an olive green hat with ear flaps, a dark jacket and grey bottoms. Police have appealed for witnesses.
