A farmer has settled out of court with a supermarket giant after he tried to force them to remove photographs of his family business from egg boxes.
Ian Chisholm, of Norton Mandeville, Essex, lost a contract to supply free range eggs to Tesco in June.
But Hertfordshire-based Tesco continued to use images of his farm on egg packs.
Tesco said the farmer's dispute should have been with the egg packing company who supplied the boxes but it would remove the images as soon as possible.
Mr Chisholm supplied the locally laid eggs to 20 Tesco stores in Essex.
Happy with quality
He said: "There is nothing we can do about the supply contract but we simply asked that the packaging with our photo and details on be removed from the shelves.
"We have been fighting this for weeks, but no-one has resolved our issue so we have no choice but to take the matter to court."
Shortly before the hearing was due to begin at Harlow County Court, Tesco said it had agreed to remove photographs of Mr Chisholm and his wife from its egg packaging.
But a spokesman for the firm said Mr Chisholm's dispute had been with the packaging company and not Tesco.
"We are somewhat surprised and disappointed by the court action," said the spokesman.
"We were very happy with the quality of the eggs supplied by Mr Chisholm and locally-sourced eggs are very popular with our customers in Essex."
