Motorcyclist is killed in crash

A motorcyclist has been killed after a crash in Essex.

The 34-year-old victim was riding a black Suzuki motorcycle involved in a collision with a silver Ford Focus on Cranes Farm Road in Basildon.

The rider, from Trowbridge in Wiltshire died in hospital following the crash which occurred on Saturday.

The driver of the Focus, a 61-year-old man from Stevenage, Hertfordshire, was not injured in the crash. Police are appealing for witnesses.
