Biker suffers severe leg injuries

A 44-year-old motorcyclist is critically ill in hospital after coming off his bike on a busy Dorset road.

The accident happened on Saturday afternoon on the A353 at Osmington.

The Poole man, who suffered severe leg injuries when he came off his Harley Davidson, is in a critical but stable condition at Dorset County Hospital.

A passing off-duty police officer and two passers-by helped stem his blood loss until paramedics arrived. Police are appealing for witnesses.
