Women and dog rescued from blaze

Firefighters have rescued two distressed women and a dog from two flats after fire broke out in the lobby of a property in Dorset.

The blaze began at an address in Cranborne Road, Swanage, shortly after 1140 BST on Wednesday.

Fire control staff gave the women fire survival advice during their telephone calls until crews arrived.

Nobody was hurt but the women were taken to hospital. The fire is believed to have been started accidentally.
