New £3.5m chiropractic unit opens

A new £3.5m chiropractic out-patient clinic has opened at a Dorset college.

The private Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC) opened its new facility in Bournemouth on Monday.

It has more than 30 new treatment rooms plus a rehabilitation centre and facilities for diagnostic ultrasound and x-rays.

Still considered by some as an unproven alternative therapy, chiropractic treatment manipulates joints, muscles and tendons to offer pain relief.

A college spokesman said the existing clinic administered more than 1,000 treatments every week and that the new unit would make it one of the busiest out-patient clinics in the region.
