Two arrested after baby boy dies

Baby probe scene

Two people have been arrested over the death of a three-month-old boy, Dorset Police say.

Officers were called to a house in Wolverton Road, in the Boscombe area of Bournemouth, on Sunday morning by an ambulance crew.

The baby boy was taken to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital but was later pronounced dead. Police are treating the baby's death as "unexplained".

A man and a woman, both 37 and from Bournemouth, have been arrested.

The property has been sealed off while an investigation takes place and house-to-house inquiries are under way.

The coroner has been informed.
