Man arrested over street stabbing

Police have made an arrest after a man was found with multiple stab wounds in a Dorset town.

The 28-year-old victim was discovered in Market Street, Poole, on Thursday evening with wounds to his chest, abdomen and arm.

Armed police sealed off a park near Dearhay Lane and conducted a search.

On Friday morning a 25-year-old man was detained in Poole town centre. The victim was in a stable but poorly condition in hospital, police said.

Witnesses have been urged to contact police.
