Motorcyclist dies in tanker crash

A motorcyclist died when he was involved in a collision with a petrol tanker in Dorset, police have said.

The 43-year-old man was travelling on a Yamaha bike east of the Roundhouse roundabout on the A31, near Corfe Mullen on Saturday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The 68-year-old tanker driver was unhurt.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them. The road was closed while investigations were conducted.
