Royal Marine killed in training

Lulworth Firing Range

A Royal Marine has been killed and another seriously injured when their Land Rover overturned during training in Dorset.

Five personnel were in the vehicle when it rolled over during the exercise on Lulworth Firing Range, near Weymouth.

No other vehicles were involved in Tuesday's crash, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said.

The Land Accident Investigation Team and Royal Military Police have started an investigation.

"Five people were in the vehicle - one was sadly killed," an MoD spokesman said.

Next-of-kin had been informed, he said.
