Unattended police van set alight

An unattended police van was destroyed by fire in a suspected arson attack in Dorset, police have said.

The vehicle was parked outside the Cockleshell pub in Lagland Street, Poole, on Sunday night.

The officers left the van to carry out inquiries in the area, but when they returned it was on fire. The blaze destroyed the vehicle.

Police are treating the incident as arson and are appealing for witnesses in the area at about 2130 BST.
