A 38-year-old man has been arrested in South Wales after a 29-year-old woman was found dead in a flat in Dorset.

The man was detained by Gwent Police at a house in Risca, Caerphilly, at midday after a body was found in Hamworthy, Poole, at 0200 BST.

Armed officers went to the address in Goathorn Close following reports of a domestic incident. The flat has been cordoned-off.

A post-mortem examination on the body is due to take place later.

A Dorset Police spokeswoman said officers were not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
