Woman discovered on beach named

An inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of a woman found on a beach in Dorset.

Lucille Dickenson, from Leyside, Mudeford, Christchurch, was discovered close to the car park at Avon Beach in Mudeford on New Year's Day.

The 56-year-old mother was found by a passer-by at about 0820 GMT.

She was identified at an inquest at Stafford Road Coroner's Court in Bournemouth on Thursday, which ruled she drowned, police said.
