Fire crews battle blaze at flats

More than 50 firefighters have tackled a blaze in flats in Dorset in the early hours of Saturday.

Crews tackled the fire for several hours above the Phones4U shop in Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth.

Two flats were damaged in the incident but police said that the residents had managed to escape in time.

Parts of Westover Road and Exeter Road have been closed by police and drivers are advised to allow more time for any journeys through the area.
