Man, 19, quizzed over sex assault

A man has been arrested on suspicion of rape following an attack on a woman in Devon last month.

The alleged assault took place in the Flowerpot Fields area of Exwick in the early hours of Sunday 28 June.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a 19-year-old man had walked into a police station on Tuesday.

A spokesman for the force said the man was being held in custody and questioned at Heavitree Road Police Station in Exeter.
