Man in custody after armed siege

A 42-year-old man has been arrested following a siege in Devon.

Armed officers and police dog units were called to a two-storey block of apartments in Oldham Road, Hatherleigh, on Wednesday afternoon.

The response followed reports of a man, believed to be armed with a type of air weapon, who had been making threats.

A man was arrested over threats to kiil, arson and harassment in the early hours and taken to Heavitree police station in Exeter. No-one was injured.
