Officer injured in gang violence

A policeman has been injured in Plymouth after officers tried to disperse a gang of youths.

Officers were called after reports of a disturbance in Reservoir Road, Hartley on Friday night.

One officer was assaulted and received minor injuries, said a spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police.

One person was arrested and is currently being detained in custody at Charles Cross police station in Plymouth, awaiting interview.
