Seafood plant fire under control

Fire in Paignton

Fifty firefighters have tackled a large blaze which left a seafood packaging plant on a Devon industrial estate severely damaged.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said the fire at Blue Sea Food factory at Long Road in Paignton had been brought under control.

The alarm was raised just before 0720 GMT by a member of staff at the site, There are no reports of any injuries.

The fire service said the incident has now been scaled down.
