Man charged after siege at house

Taser stun gun

A man has been charged with false imprisonment and wounding after a three-hour siege at a house in Devon.

Police used a Taser stun gun in the incident in Brixham on Saturday night.

Officers went to the house after reports people inside needed help. A 30-year-old woman and two 14-year-old girls were treated at Torbay Hospital.

John Harding, 36, from Brixham, was remanded in custody by magistrates and ordered to appear at Exeter Crown Court on 15 January.

The Taser incapacitates a person targeted with a powerful electric shock.
