Broadlands Avenue

A man in his 30s has died after being stabbed at a house in a Devon town.

The victim died at a house in Broadlands Avenue, Newton Abbot early on Thursday said a Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman.

A 54-year-old man was later arrested by police at an address in the same street following a siege involving firearms officers from the force.

He is being held at Torquay police station for questioning said the force spokesman.
