Hundreds lose water in pipe burst

Six hundred homes in south Devon are without tap water because of a burst water main.

The affected areas are Avonwick, Harberton, Eastleigh, Curtisknowle, Diptford, Halwell, Moreleigh, North Huish and Woodleigh.

Water bowsers are being deployed at Harberton, Diptford, Moreleigh, Boreston, Curtisknowle and Avonwick.

South West Water said it would take until midday to fix the 18in (45cm) main under a rail line in South Brent.
