Driver flees as car strikes house

Police are searching for the driver of a car which hit a house in Devon overnight.

The property in Cullompton was left structurally unstable after the collision which happened just after midnight in Padbrook Meadow.

Police said the elderly couple living at the property were uninjured.

Officers are now searching for the driver of the car, a silver Seat, which was found abandoned a short time after the incident.
