Couple are killed in road crash

A couple were killed when their car crashed into a tree in Plymouth, Devon.

Emergency services were called to the accident on Embankment Road at about 0245 BST on Friday.

Becky Hoynes, 30, from Ivybridge, died at the scene. Her boyfriend Barry Rowe, 28, from Plymouth, died later in Derriford Hospital.

He had been driving the silver Subaru. No other vehicles were involved in the incident which closed the road for a number of hours.
