A man has escaped major injury in a helicopter crash in Devon.
The private Enstrom 280 aircraft was flying from Plymouth to Bedford when it crashed at Haytor on Dartmoor at about 1225 BST.
The 78-year-old man, from Bedfordshire, who was the only occupant, was not hurt in the crash but suffered an arm injury after climbing out to check the damage.
Emergency services dealt with a fuel leak from the aircraft, which was left on its side after the crash.
Bad weather
The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service covered the area of the fuel leak with foam to make it safe.
Two ambulances and two response vehicles from South Western Ambulance Trust went to the scene.
And the Devon Air Ambulance and the Devon and Cornwall Police helicopter also attended.
Devon and Cornwall police said they thought poor weather conditions and low cloud contributed to the crash.
The force added that the Air Accidents Investigation Branch would be leading inquiries into the incident.
