Victims tied up in armed robbery

Three people were tied up by armed men during a robbery in south Devon.

Two men went into a house in the Swedwell Road area of Torquay with what were described as handguns and tied up the three people inside.

They stole property before leaving. One of the victims was able to free themselves and then alerted police.

Police said one of the men was described as white and the other of mixed race, and they both may have had a turquoise-coloured car.

The robbery took place at about 0930 BST on Monday.
