Motorcyclist dies in lorry crash

A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash with a goods vehicle in Teignmouth, Devon.

Emergency services were called to the accident in New Road at about 0830 BST.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said the male motorcyclist, who has not been named, was pronounced dead at the scene.

New Road has been closed at the junctions with Exeter Hill and Maudlin Drive for investigations and diversions put in place.

The driver of the goods vehicles is not believed to have been injured.
